Traffic Lights Out
DURHAM, N.C. — Several traffic lights in Durham were not working Saturday afternoon and thousands of people were in the dark due to a power outage, authorities said.

Roughly 2,600 Duke Energy customers were without power around the intersection of University Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Durham police said a fallen tree in the 3900 block of Chapel Hill Road is possibly to blame for the outage.

Authorities said power was restored in Durham around 4:30 p.m.
