Read-a-roo meets and greets at the Marbles and UNC-TV tent at the fair
UNC-TV's pavilion is one of my favorite places for younger kids at the N.C. State Fair.
As I wrote last week, the activities are free and the pavilion, next to Dorton Arena, offers some meet-and-greet opportunities with some of kids' favorite PBS Kids characters.

This Saturday, there's a full line-up of fun. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, the pavilion will feature Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine, including live stage shows featuring both characters.

Here's the schedule:

10 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.: Bob the Builder Live Stage Show

10:40 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Bob the Builder Meet-n-Greet

11 to 11:20 a.m.: Thomas & Friends Stage Show

11:40 a.m. to Noon: Thomas & Friends Meet-n-Greet

Noon to 12:20 p.m.: Bob the Builder Live Stage Show

12:40 p.m. to 1 p.m.: Bob the Builder Meet-n-Greet

1 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.: Thomas & Friends Stage Show

1:40 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Thomas & Friends Show Meet-n-Greet

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, the pavilion also will host a free Home Depot Kids Workshop. These are best for kids ages 5 to 12 (but if your child is younger, you are welcome to help them out). During the workshop, kids can make something to bring home. Kids 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
