An explosion at a home in Raleigh on Wednesday morning started a fire that charred part of the house and destroyed a boat.

Explosion causes fire at Raleigh home
RALEIGH, N.C. — An explosion at a home in Raleigh on Wednesday morning destroyed a boat and charred part of the house.

The call to the home at 4413 Omni Place came in around 4:30 a.m., according to the Raleigh Fire Department. The explosion came from a boat next to the house but damaged 40 percent of the house, which has a for sale sign posted in the front yard.

Police said there were no injuries in the fire.
