Ex-husband on trial in Zebulon woman's death

Posted September 10, 2008

— Jurors began hearing evidence this week in the murder trial of a man whose ex-wife's body was found stuffed in the trunk of her car two years ago.

Robert Pastuer is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Narskelsky Angelean Pastuer, 52, of Zebulon.

Her body was found in the trunk of her car off U.S. Highway 1 near Franklinton on Dec. 7, 2006. Her daughter had reported her missing a month earlier.

Before her disappearance, Narskelsky Pastuer had taken out a domestic-violence protection order against her ex-husband, authorities said.

Defense attorneys unsuccessfully tried to move the trial out of Franklin County because of extensive pretrial publicity.

25 years to life with no possibility of parole for those who murder or abuse those they claim to love, including their children.

    God bless.

I have been sitting in on the case this week and listening. All I will say at this point is that it has been an interesting case. I will reserve any other comments until after the jury gets the case.

Seems that's almost a sure-fired way to get yourself killed. Something needs to be done
