Ex-guard pleads guilty to giving inmate drugs
A former Wake County detention officer was sentenced Monday to 18 to 24 months in prison after pleading guilty to supplying drugs to an inmate.
Posted — UpdatedTimothy Maurice Bullock, 26, of 701 S. Main St. in Holly Springs, pleaded guilty to three counts each of providing a controlled substance to an inmate, selling marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, delivery of marijuana and conspiracy to sell marijuana.
Bullock brought marijuana, a cell phone and a knife to the jail last spring and gave them to an inmate in exchange for $1,000, authorities said.
He resigned as a detention officer in April 2009.
