Triangle teens are invited to the 8th annual Cary Teen Forum this Saturday where they'll be able to learn about communication and leadership skills.

"Ready, Set, Lead" is from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Herbert C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave. in Cary. The forum features three sessions: "Say What?," about types of communication; "Who am I?," about personality types; and "Team-Together Everyone Achieves More," about team building skills led by Cary's ropes course staff. The day includes lunch and laser tag.

“Communication plays such a pivotal role in today’s world,” said Assistant Community Center Supervisor Cindi King in a press release about the program. “The forum is planned by teens for teens, giving adolescents an inviting atmosphere to better their communication skills and explore the meaning of leadership together.”

Advanced registration is still open for teens. It's $10 for pre-registered Cary residents and $13 for pre-registered non-residents. Fees increase to $15 for residents and $19 for non-residents when registering the day of the event. Call 919-460-4965 for details.
