Erica Parsons' adoptive mother brought back to NC, charged with murder

The adoptive mother of Erica Parsons was brought back to Rowan County Tuesday evening, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — The adoptive mother of Erica Parsons was brought back to Rowan County Tuesday evening, according to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

Casey Parsons, 43, was transported from federal prison in Tallahassee, Fla., to the Rowan County Detention Center around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Parsons is charged with felony first-degree murder, felony child abuse with serious physical injury, felony obstruction of justice and felony concealment of death, deputies said.

Parsons will be held in the Rowan County Detention Center without bond and is expected to make an appearance in court March 14.
