Equip 2 Thrive: Make your own shuttlecock

Posted July 13

Bryan Garrido, a Raleigh dad of four and owner of Equip 2 Thrive, is helping us get our young kids ready to learn the fundamentals of racket sports such as badminton.

We're wrapping up our series today with a simple way to make your own shuttlecock that requires only a piece of a pool noodle, a plastic bag and a rubber band. Watch the video to see how it's done. And check the More on This section to see all of Garrido's tips on teaching kids racket sports.

Garrido's website has more information about all of the programs that he offers for kids - from fitness to stop-motion animation. Thank you, Bryan, for sharing these great activities!
