— Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of two-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, will be speaking at a live story-telling event in Carrboro on May 7, organizers said Monday.

Edwards is speaking at the season finale event of The Monti, a Chapel Hill-Durham based organization that hosts events featuring people from the community telling personal stories in front of a live audience. The theme on May 7 is “Mothers and Fathers.”

Good Lord, will those Edwards never shut up!!!

I am so sick of hearing about all of their dirty laundry.

It must be terribly hurtful and embarassing to their children for all their friends to know all their parents nasty business.

Move along folks. PLEASE move along, if for nothing more, then for the sake of your children.

    God bless.

Keep it clean and civil, Mrs. Edwards.

Elizabeth, you need to stay out of the media - please. Everybody has hear the story, everybody knows he is a jerk, and you should get on with your life outside the media.

It really does seem that you and John both crave media attention.

This is just free publicity for the event in Carrboro. If she were Jane Jones or some other unknown person, no one would hear anything about it.

Leave the Lady alone, she is going through Cancer, and then losing that Sorry Husband, so she deserves a break. There is a place in Hell for him I am sure. She is a strong lady and I have lots of prayers for her, so matter what Andrew Young said!!

I really wish hateful people would give her a break. Didn't your mothers teach you if you can't say something nice, say nothing? You have no clue what her truth is, it's hers. What is yours? itsmyownopinion

If she would remove herself from the lime-light what you post would apply; but for some reason she won't go away and emjoy the mansion from which she booted the Breck Girl.

If this isn't proof positive that this woman loves the limelight, I don't know what is. Just like Tammy Faye Baker (rest her soul). I was (emphasis on was) really feeling for Mrs. Edwards in all this. As I like to say "the truth will out" this time with "Mothers and Fathers" until entire details are on the table.

I don't think I could have gone through all that Elizabeth has and remain the gracious lady that she has. I can just imagine her pain. I've been through breast cancer. That's bad enough but she had a lot more thrown at her. At least my husband stayed true to me while I was going through chemo and radiation. I wish Elizabeth well.
