Basketball game shifts primetime schedule

Posted January 26, 2010

The ACC match-up between the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and North Carolina State University Wolfpack will air Tuesday night at 9 p.m. on WRAL-TV, followed by an extended WRAL News at 11 p.m.

NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife, the shows originally scheduled in that time slot, will air overnight so that viewers can record them and not miss an episode. The replays are slated to begin at 2:12 a.m. and 3:12 a.m., respectively.

Given the likelihood that the game runs longer than two hours, viewers are advised to record from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. in order to ensure they get their entire program.

If you have a decent digital TV with multiple inputs that include the old over the air antenna you can hook a set of rabbit ears up and pick up a lot of local stuff not on cable or satelite.

For MOST people - the NCAA college basketball season will end April 5th this year with the National Championship game .
This is one of the reasons I would PAY the local channels to let me have the national ones on my satellite like I use to have .

I would like to know why WRAL did not do this two weeks ago for NCIS you had to have cable to watch it but if you had sattelite tv you were S.O.L
