As a baseball fan, the thing that interests me the most about modern country star Tim McGraw (39 today) is that he is the son of screwball '80s relief pitcher Tug McGraw. See, every baseball fan has a warm place in his or her heart for the oddball pitchers, like Mitch Williams, the mulletted Phillie who fell off the mound after every pitch, or Mark "The Bird" Fidrych, who talked to the ball before throwing it. Not really sure what Tug did, exactly, to put him in with these guys, but I know it was something.
