Try and snitch a piece of cake today and you could lose an arm.
The first record I ever bought: M.C. Hammer's "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em." It was also the first record I tried to sell to a used CD store. I say "tried" because, upon doing so, I learned that it owns another distinction: Circa 1992, it was the single album least in demand by the owners of used CD stores. For such a mediocre album, it sure owns lots of superlatives. During the brief pop-rap explosion of the early '90s, M.C. Hammer (44 today) was king; since he's desperately tried to cash in on every trend that has come along and has always come up a little short. Which is not one of his?
