Whooo-hooo!!! Little Richard (74 today) is a gleefully bizarre, campy, borderline insane ball of fun. Interesting story: In the '50s, Pat Boone was habitually taking songs by black artists and making tons more money singing them in watered-down versions. Richard made "Tutti Frutti" so fast so Pat wouldn't be keep up with it, and therefore couldn't steal it. He did anyway, and charted higher than Richard. Oh well. Over whose 1987 Vegas marriage did Richard preside?
