I've been getting so into "Law and Order" lately; man, it's a cool show. It's a beautiful thing -- no cheesy arch-villains, no dating or romance, no moralistic hullabaloo, not even anything, really, about the characters' private lives. Just brilliantly unpredictable cases that speed by in a blur of moves and countermoves. Sam Waterston (66 today) is the doe-eyed, hard-core prosecutor who gets the job done with fascinating ardor. Of course, he's done a million other things, from "The Killing Fields" to "Hannah and Her Sisters." Who directed "Hannah and Her Sisters"?
