If you're tired of Christmas music, 100.7 doesn't play it at all. If you're close to Greensboro, 98.7 plays only a little, and it's usually the unusual kitschy stuff you rarely hear.

"I do not like Christmas decoration and radio station flipping before Thanksgivings. This is going to be an extremely hard Christmas for my family because of financial reason. It has been depressing listen to Christmas music from the radio station, because I am not looking forward to it this year". yvette

Know what you mean yvette. Its going to be hard on us also. My husband has been laid off since March, so I'm not looking forward to it this year either

Too bad we cannot all hold off until the week before Christmas to do our gift shopping - that would force the merchants to have big sales and we would get the stuff for 1/2 off! Oh well. There is always the After Christmas sales.

No wonder the day after Christmas folks are sick of it all. It just starts way too soon! I remember, yes, back in the day, when the week between Christmas and New Year's was magical...lots of entertaining, the Christmas Carols playing. No one was sick of the music yet, cause you may have heard an occasional song after Thanksgiving, but mostly the music began in earnest in mid December. All leading up to New Year's. And no one took their tree down until after New Year's Day...many left them up until January 6th. Again, cause no one put the tree up before mid December, with many families decorating the tree on Christmas Eve! All the Christmas decorations and music 24 hours at this point in time is simply a marketing tool, and has nothing to do with spreading good cheer, it's all about spending money.

I don't understand yvette, the meaning and reason behind why Christmas is celebrated in the USA hasn't changed. Don't just look at the superficial lights, decorations and music. Celebrate Christmas for what it represents not what the world wants you to celebrate. Please???
