Originally created to prevent a national chain restaurant from dominating downtown Chapel Hill, Top of the Hill has quickly become the premier destination restaurant and social crossroads of Chapel Hill - a mingling place for graduate students, faculty, town residents, tourists, undergraduates or anyone lucky enough to find themselves in the southern part of heaven.
