Raleigh City Farmers’ Market is a new farmers’ market founded and curated by new / young farm entrepreneurs and veteran farmers to grow a healthier, happier Raleigh.
This farmers’ market is being managed by Raleigh City Farm, led by farmers, with demand from the community and support from the City and City Market.
The mission is to grow a vibrant and abundant local food community in downtown through premium market opportunities that encourage direct farmer-to-community connections and the growth and economic sustainability of new and beginning farm entrepreneurs, farmers with sustainable practices and veteran farmers committing to keeping farmland, farmland.
The market will begin as an open air market under the original 1914 ‘market hall’ awnings. Overlooking Moore Square along cobblestone streets, 100 years later, a new farmers’ market @ City Market (214 E. Martin St.). Raleigh City Farmers’ Market is working to activate (attract community, customers, complimentary tenants, sponsors and investment) and revitalize a historic agricultural and culinary use for some of Raleigh’s most valuable and iconic real-estate.
Wednesdays : 4-7pm
100 Year Celebration : October 10th-12th
** Plans to expand to Saturday next year, early adopters will be given preference.
