Tupelo Honey Cafe, downtown Asheville, N.C.’s beloved Southern eatery, is bringing its scratch-made goodness to Raleigh in December. The restaurant will open in a 5,800 square foot space at 425 Oberlin Street that will seat 220 guests including the patio.
The Raleigh restaurant will be Tupelo Honey’s fourth in North Carolina joining the Charlotte, Southside Asheville and original Downtown Asheville cafes. Tupelo Honey also has locations in Greenville, S.C., Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tenn. and will be opening restaurants in Johnson City, Tenn. in June 2014 and Atlanta, G.A. in 2015.
Known for it’s spirited take on all things Southern, Tupelo Honey Cafe’s Famous Sweet Potato Pancakes, Brian’s Shrimp and Grits, Fried Chicken Saltimbocca and Moonshine Mary™ are fan favorites that are sure to delight Triangle guests. “We’ve long admired the food scene that has grown up around the Triangle,” said Steve Frabitore, owner of Tupelo Honey Cafe. “When the opportunity to move in to 425 Oberlin presented itself, we jumped. We look forward to being a part of the Raleigh business community.”
