The Cary property was once home to the town's first indoor movie theater, built in 1946, which hosted live performances as well as films. The property was also used as a clothing store, auto parts store and recording studio. Now the marquee will light up Downtown Cary with the mission of providing a unique setting for cinema and live performance to enhance the cultural arts experience in Downtown Cary.
The Cary will offer Independent Films, music, and live performance including comedy and improv!
The Cary Downtown Theater will offer Independent, Documentaries and Classic Films.
Films will be shown on Thursday nights at 7:00 and 9:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:00 p.m. and every other Friday at 7:00 and 9:30 p.m. Check listings for any changes to the regular schedule.
The Cary's Concession Stand will be open during films and events featuring gourmet popcorn, snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine.
