RALEIGH FORECAST (Wed.)
Laotian cuisine in downtown Raleigh and one of the first laotian restaurants in the U.S.
Bida Manda is a thoughtful and sharp gathering place celebrating the diverse food traditions of Laos. Sanskrit for father and mother, siblings Vansana and Vanvisa Nolintha named the restaurant Bida Manda as a way of honoring their parents in Laos who taught them everything they know about food, hospitality, and the power it has in bringing people together.
In April 2013, Food Network chef Maneet Chauhan hosted a special dinner there. The meal was filmed as part of her upcoming reality/documentary series.
