Everything is made in-house. And yes, we serve real BBQ spare ribs, NOT the fast food Baby Back variety. Our ribs are large and fat, perfect slow smokin. The ribs decent, larger but very fatty, and bit dry. The smoke flavor was different. There is a Northern sauce was pretty good good. I got some cheezy bacon... (more)

You Guys need to try Mel's BBQ at 5008 Forestville Rd. in Raleigh. Check them out on Facebook. It's a roadside concession trailer. It's authentic Eastern NC BBQ. A Large 6" BBQ sandwich for $3.00. I guarantee you it's the best you ever had, bar none!

WORST MEAL WE'VE EVER HAD!!!!!! Combo pork ribs and BBQ, ribs were dry and if I had been blindfolded I would not have been able to tell you what the BBQ was,plus my plate was floating with an orange greasy liquid. Beans were luke warm, potatoes were cold, and slaw taste like raw cabbage soaked in water. Three in our party and we were served 4 hushpuppies that were almost burnt. We ask for more and were served 3 that were cooked the same. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND CAROLINA SMOKEHOUSE.
