We chose Battistella's for Raleigh Restaurant. The ambiance is nice and the location is great for people watching... and that's where the positives end. The food took over 40 minutes to come out, the fish was completely overcooked (we're talking mashed potatoes'esque) and they have no beer/wine list. I've never taken the time to write a poor review but I really hope someone there sees this so they can improve. Sorry Battistella's, but that meal was a WASTE of money!

My wife and I discovered this place when it was the hotel restaurant at the Roach Motel just above Crabtree Valley mall... When they closed we were so sad... Then we heard they we're moving DT! Woohoo!!! We've eaten there several times since the move and love it... The menu has taken a hit, no more Seafood Creole, but the food is still VERY good... The absolute BEST!! The gumbo is "slap yo mamma" good and the shrimp and grits are to die for. Each dish I've had here (and at their old location near Crabtree for a couple of years) has been fantastic. The staff have always been friendly and helpful- it's now closer to the house than ever and open for lunch!! What's not to love?
