Ticket Info:N/A The Carolina Strawberry Festival is the premier festival for the town of Wallace each May. It was held annually for years, but was suspended during WWII. The festival has been back now since 2011- better than ever! The 2017 Carolina Strawberry Festival is May 12 & 13.
The festival is back as a modern event- complete with food and craft vendors,a midway of rides, BBQ cook-off, Beer & Wine Garden, recipe cook-off, Little Miss Strawberry Pageant, performances by local dance and music groups, and favorite musical performers. Events fill Downtown Wallace from Main Street to the Wallace Train Depot, our local shops offer specials, and many of the town's non-profit organizations help for the event. There is no admission charge to the festival itself or to the concert area at the Wallace Train Depot!
This year the fun begins on Friday night with the Strawberry Jam! The Band of Oz will be in concert beginning at 7 pm. The Fire Department will be cooking up wings and the Beer & Wine Garden will be open. Saturday boasts a full schedule of events on the Main St Stage- including the Little Miss Strawberry Pageant and local dance groups. Look for great vendors up and down the streets, classic cars, helicopter rides and more! The music cranks up in the afternoon with country music star Bryan Mayer, then changes up to the classic rock sound of Nantucket. Spend the evening shagging the night away with Ken Knox and Company!
