Ticket Info:Available online and at the door VOICES, The Chapel Hill Chorus, is pleased to announce the first concert of its 36th Season.

Cantari, the Voices Ensemble, will be performing the program "1685 was a very good year! Bach and Handel".

The concert features works by J.S. Bach (1685-1750) and George Frideric Handel (1685-1759). The performance opens with Handel's "Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened," Coronation Anthem #2, HWV259, followed by Handels' powerful "O Come, Let Us Sing Unto The Lord," Chandos Anthem #8, HWV253, and closes with Bach's celebratory "Der Herr denket an uns," Cantata for Wedding, BWV 196. The singers will be joined by strings, oboes, recorders and continuo players.
