PDQ (People Dedicated to Quality) in Raleigh, N.C., will host a St. Baldrick’s Foundation signature head-shaving event to raise funds and awareness for lifesaving childhood cancer research on Saturday, Oct. 1. With a goal of raising $1,000, local volunteers are expected to shave their heads to support the Foundation’s mission to find the best treatments for kids with cancer!
The event will feature three local childhood cancer survivors – Ashley, Owen, and Scott.
The event is part of a PDQ partnership with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to raise money for September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. During September, PDQ has been selling co-branded tumblers for $10 plus tax each at each of its 55 locations, with $3 from each sale being donated to support St. Baldrick’s mission to fund the promising research just for kids.
