Ticket Info:No tickets required Scientist Brian Hare, an expert on canine cognition, will present "Survival of the Friendliest" at Meredith College on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016. The lecture will be held at 7 p.m. in Jones Auditorium.
Hare is an associate professor of evolutionary anthropology at Duke University and a member of the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, a division of the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences. He is the founder of the Duke Canine Cognition Center, and his publications on dog cognition are among the most heavily cited papers on dog behavior and intelligence.
Hare's first book, The Genius of Dogs, is a New York Times bestseller. His research has consistently received national and international media coverage including The New York Times, The New Yorker, National Geographic, Time, Nature, Wired, Science magazine, CNN, and ABC.
