We are excited to announce that our 5th (yes, fifth) annual Porkapalooza will be held on Friday, October 14th at The Root Cellar in Chapel Hill.
The eagerly anticipated porktastic farm dinner will offer 12 small plate courses, featuring locally raised pork from Seven Springs Farm and beers from Fullsteam Brewery in Durham. While we cannot divulge everything, here are a few pork-centric dishes in the works:
roasted suckling pigs
beer cheese fondue with local sausages
fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese, beer braised crispy pork belly and tomato jam
poutine, featuring sweet potato fries, Seven Springs country gravy and Ashe County cheese
bacon house-made marshmallow S’mores.
Each course will be paired with beer from Durham’s critically acclaimed Fullsteam Brewery. They are brewing a beer especially for this event! We will post more menu items as Porkapalooza draws near and the full menu right before the event.
We are offering a special introductory price of $55 for all tickets purchased before August 31st. That’s a great deal and will save you $10 when the price goes up September 1st. That is, assuming we still have tickets to sell then! Please note the ticket price includes all food, drink and fun but does not include gratuity.
We are also serving up a Deluxe Package for $85 that includes a ticket to the event, limited edition Porkapalooza T-shirt and a Porkapalooza pint glass. You’ll be the envy of all with Porkapalooza swag!
