During the day, visit the historic homes of slaves, sharecroppers, and slaveholders, and learn about the Christmad traditions of enslaved and free people in North Carolina. After dark, purchase a ticket to see some of these buildings lit by lanterns, while your guide shares stories of holidays during slavery.

The open house of the historic homes will run from 10am to 4pm and is free and open to the public.

Lantern tours are ticketed. Tours begin at 4:30pm, 5:00pm, 5:30pm, and 6:00pm. Tickets will go on sale to the public Tuesday, November 15th. Tickets are $5 per adult and $3 per child and include hot drinks and gingerbread. There is a limit of 25 people per tour. Tours are expected to sell out quickly. Visit Stagville in person or call the site at 919.620.0120 to purchase tickets.
