Friday Night Flashlight Walks: Facts and Fables of the Famous (and Infamous) permanent residents of Oakwood Cemetery are hour long walking tours that seek to educate and entertain the visitor about Historic Oakwood Cemetery and its history. 2 simultaneous walks are offered: Civil War and Famous Residents. Participants are to park outside of the cemetery and meet at the iconic front gate. We accept $5 donation to Friends of Historic Oakwood Cemetery per person. Bring flashlight! Due to the high number of participants, please register in advance by emailing info@historicoakwood.com or calling 919.832.6077. Note: this is not a creepy tour, but an engaging and historic tour.
