Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers will be performing at Kings Barcade tonight at 9pm.

The breakout artist Nicki Bluhm has a unique and refreshing sound that comes off a little rock and roll, a little country, and a little soul, with a "tinge of vintage" (a self-selected description that fits).

Nicki got her start when she sang a blues song at a New Year's Eve party and caught the attention of musician/ producer, Tim Bluhm. Tim encouraged Nicki to write her on songs and start performing in public and not soon after she had earned her place in the spotlight and a loyal fan base.

Soon after the pair went on to record Nicki's debut album, Toby's Song, which appeared on Jambase's top ten albums of the year. After the debut of the solo album, Tim and Nicki got married and the band continued to grow to what it is today: Deren Ney on guitar, Steve Adams with bass, Dave Mulligan strumming rhythm guitar, and Mike Curry as drummer. The band released a studio album, entitled Driftwood, in 2011.

The show is open to all ages. Tickets are $10 and you can buy them in advance or at the door.
