It appears the "Hunger Games" movie franchise will abandon North Carolina for Georgia in shooting the next installment of the series.

Lionsgate announced Thursday that shooting would begin in locations in and near Atlanta for "Catching Fire." The movie will shoot beach and jungle scenes in Hawaii, and it will wrap by the end of the year.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will be released worldwide on November 22, 2013, and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jeffrey Wright, with Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland.
