The talent just never stops. Minor Stars, who create their art in a small room in a house just outside of Hillsborough, are proof that this area is a gold mine of musicians.

I first met lead man Eric Wallen when I worked with Ben Davis and the Jetts, another of my local favorites. Once again, a member of one great band is a member of another great band, it's starting to get kind of silly. Someone once said to me, "25 people make up every band in the Triangle." That may be hyperbole, but it's starting to make sense.

I thought Minor Stars would make a nice tie into our Hopscotch coverage. I hit them up and they couldn’t have been happier to meet for the shoot.

We had a lot of fun putting this together, they came with a ton of creative lighting ideas, only making my job easier. So thanks for that, guys.

They kick off the night Saturday at Tir Na Nog, and should be on anyone’s list of bands to check out.
