Lilac Shadows

Led by Sam Logan, Lilac Shadows is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. The mellow tone of the song Rise, which is the song they play in the video feature, is probably responsible for keeping my blood pressure low this past week.

Lilac Shadows is the second band of my Hopscotch-feature-trio. It just goes to show you how much talent is around here. When you look up and see names like Nathan Price and Zack Oden you can’t help but feel like you’re in for something good. Add onto them Derek Torres and Karen Blanco, and you have a team of local music superstars treating everyone to a new round of unforgettable sounds that you’ll want to become familiar with very soon.

If you are lucky enough to have a Hopscotch wristband you can see Lilac Shadows kicking off the night at Kings Barcade Thursday at 9:30 p.m. I don’t think anyone would blame you if you stuck around to hear Free Electric State right after.

Check out the video feature and put Lilac Shadows on your list of bands to get familiar with. Follow their web links and get excited to hear what their next album might sound like.
