Rock band Papa Roach will no longer perform at the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival after lead singer Jacoby Shaddix was diagnosed with a nodule on his left vocal cord. Shaddix will undergo surgery to remove the nodule and prevent further damage.

The Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival will play Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek on September 11. The main stage schedule will be adjusted so Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind and Adelitas Way will all have longer performances.

"I was hoping to be able to go out there and kill it on this tour by resting and doing vocal exercises, but my voice has just gone out on me. I hate to let our fans down, but unfortunately surgery is the only way to fix it," Shaddix said.
