World's best gamers to battle it out in Raleigh

Posted August 22, 2012

About 15,000 gamers and fans are expected to gather this weekend at the Raleigh Convention Center for the Major League Gaming's Summer Championship.

Competitors will play StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and League of Legends on PC, as well as Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur V on PlayStation 3. With nearly $215,000 in prizes is on the line, the competition should be intense!

The competition will be showcased on video screens across four stages with live commentating, so the audience won't miss any of the action. Attendees can visit booths and meet the players, see the latest tech and video game products and learn about pre-release access to new video games.

The event will be streaming live online - but why sit in front of a screen when you can watch it in person?

Any gamers out there planning on attending?
