Midtown Emerging Artist Series
With Beach Music at North Hills wrapping up, it is time for the Midtown Emerging Artist Series. Local bands and artists will take the stage every Friday night through October at Fountain Park at the Captrust Tower at North Hills. This week, it all kicks off with Erik Smallwood.
Kathy Griffin
Comedian Kathy Griffin will perform Friday night at the Durham Performing Arts Center. The show is the headlining event of the North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, which kicks off this weekend at the Carolina Theater of Durham. Tickets for Griffin’s show start at $55.
Rascal Flatts
Country stars Rascal Flatts will play the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek in Raleigh on Friday night. They will be joined by Little Big Town. Tickets start at $30.
HighSchool OT.com's Jamboree
Ready for some football? Come out to Southeast Raleigh High School on Saturday for the 2012 HighSchoolOT.com Jamboree. The action begins at 1 p.m. Teams from Durham, Johnston and Wake Counties will be represented in the day-long event.
ABBA the Concert
Mama Mia! If you are a fan of ABBA, you might want to head to Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary this Saturday night for a tribute concert to the Swedish band. ABBA the Concert will feature more than 20 of the bands hits. Tickets start at $25.
