On the first Saturday of each month, car enthusiasts from around the Triangle gather in Cary for Cars and Coffee.

At this free event, it has become the norm for owners to bring out multiple expensive sports cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. You can also expect to see BMWs, Mustangs (old and new) and more. With such a wide array of vehicles, there is truly a car for everyone.

Another thing to appreciate about Cars and Coffee is the atmosphere. The owners who showcase their rides are generally very friendly and will be happy to answer any questions you have. They are not the type of owners who trailer their priceless vehicles from meet-up to meet-up. They actually drive and enjoy them the way they were meant to be owned. The owners all adore cars and want to share that love with others around the Triangle.

Local teenager Rob Poston has been going to Cars and Coffee with his father for about a year now, making it to nearly every meet up. His father heard about Cars and Coffee through the rumblings of co-workers. A year later, Poston said he still enjoys going down to see the vast lineup.

“I’ve seen everything from old VW (Volkswagen) GTIs, to the newest members of the Italian super-car royal family, to all-time American classics," he said.

His favorite car is the 1000 horsepower super-car – the Bugatti Veyron. Every time he goes to a meet up, he scouts for one, but so far has turned up empty-handed.

“I haven’t seen a Bugatti Veyron yet, but I’m willing to be patient," Poston said.

The next Cars and Coffee event at 259 New Waverly Place in Cary is Saturday starting at 8 a.m., but these events are happening all over the state.

Here are some other Cars and Coffee events in and around the Triangle coming up:

  • Cars and Coffee Greensboro is held the third Saturday of every month from 8 a.m to 10:30 a.m. at Jefferson Village off New Garden Road.
  • Cars and Coffee Durham is held the last Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the top of the parking deck next to Mellow Mushroom on the American Tobacco Campus.
