"American Idol" winner and Garner native Scotty McCreery will be among the celebs taking part in the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic next month.
V Foundation CEO and Jimmy V's brother, Nick Valvano, stopped by WRAL News this morning to talk about the 19th annual event planned for Aug. 26 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course on Centennial Campus at North Carolina State University.
McCreery isn't the only celeb taking a swing for charity. The celeb golfer list also includes NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, singer/actor Joey Fatone, "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison, Carolina Hurricane Chad LaRose, ESPN's Stuart Scott, Jay Harris and Trey Wingo and former "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star Alfonso Ribeiro.
Gallery tickets to view the action are only $5 each.
