Nickelback cancels Raleigh show

Posted July 20, 2012

Nickelback has canceled its show scheduled for July 30 at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, concert promoter Live Nation announced late Friday.

The cancelation was due to "unforeseen circumstances," according to Live Nation. Tickets for the show will be refunded at the point of purchase starting Monday, July 23. If you bought tickets online or by phone, you will automatically receive a refund.

Nickelback's July 27 show in Charlotte will still go on. Tickets are still available.

"Unforeseen circumstances" = dismal ticket sales in concert industry lingo.

to bad, but maybe not such a great loss?

  • HadEnough Jul 23, 2012

Reason could be because it's too darn HOT here.
That place is a health hazard in the summer. Why don't they have shows there in the fall and spring?

  • dsdaughtry Jul 22, 2012

ticket sales for the raleigh show was horrible. this is why they cancelled.

  • Killian Jul 21, 2012

It was probably cancelled because too many people know that "Nickelback" and "music" shouldn't be in the same sentence.
