Best Chicken Tenders

With the inaugural National Chicken Finger Day this Friday, we decided to rank our Five Favorite chicken fingers/tenders.

Buffalo Brothers (Raleigh) - These breaded tenders are served after being soaked in your choice of Buffalo Bros. sauce. You can even get them tossed in the Ludicrous sauce, which we can tell you is extremely HOT!

Hibernian (Raleigh, Cary) - Their chicken tenders are known as Foghorn Fingers. These breaded delights are served with honey mustard or pineapple barbecue sauce. We prefer the honey mustard. So good and always enough to bring home for lunch the next day.

Beasley's Chicken and Honey (Raleigh) - You might argue that they don't serve tenders specifically, but we couldn't resist putting them on the list. Whether served on a biscuit or inside a pot pie, their chicken is amazing!

Blinco's Sports Restaurant and Bar (Raleigh) - One of our Facebook fans suggested this pick specifically for its chipotle barbecue tossed fingers. "You will thank me (maybe not your hips, but your lips!)," they wrote. Yummy!

Bojangle's - Yes, we know it is a chain and we try to avoid chains on these lists, but we just couldn't stay away. It is located near the WRAL studios after all. This chain's chicken tenders are known as supremes, which is a great name since they are pretty supreme. It also doesn't hurt that they have a little kick to them.

Where are your favorite tenders?

Overtime Sports Pub @ New Bern & Rogers Ln...

Everything there is great, but their chicken tenders are REAL and FRESH! and absolutely delicious, of course!

Chic-Fil-A's are the BEST! real chicken.

The Loop makes good chicken fingers.

Backyard Bistro's are the best. At timesn I crave them! And if you want them tossed in sauce get the R&R sauce, It's fantastic and different than most.

My favorite is the Naked Tenders at Buffalo Wild Wings. Man, those jokers are DELISH!!

Wingman in Carrboro Plaza in Carrboro has the best tenders by far. Get cajun and ranch dipping sauce and you cannot come close to beating them.

Yes I did. I was just simply stating that Papa Lou's was not the orignator of it. And actually I know all about the "stealing" of the recipe too. Thanks.

"Opinionted1- These did not originate with Papa Lou's. They are an CAH original. Papa Lou's opened after the Ale Houses when Lou changed his Miami Subs locations. I ama former employee of the CAH so I know what I'm talkin' about. However, I do agree with you. They are top-notch!!"

Doodlelover- Did you know that Lou (CAH) stole the recipe and name on the Zinger from Miller's Ale House in FL, not exactly a "CAH original".
