Monuts donuts park trike, open shop

Owner Lindsay Moriarty has kept details of the new shop under wraps, but said the new location will allow Monuts to keep regular business hours and expand their operations.

Over the next few weeks, Monuts will be sending out clues about its new retail space and a planned meet and greet at that space, where free donuts and coffee will be available. Moriarty said she hopes the meet and greet will materialize by late July.

For the past year, Moriarty has been pedaling and peddling donuts around Durham, on her re-purposed donut tricycle. Specializing in unique flavor combinations, Monuts fills a delicious hole in Durham's food scene with freshly baked cake and yeast donuts.
