Thousands descended on Durham Central Park Sunday for a special Father's Day Food Truck Rodeo.
Trucks lined Foster street and the Pavilion, normally home to Durham's farmers market, while Durham-based dub Addis entertained the crowd with a mix of Ethiopian and Reggae music.

Organized by the park and Only Burger of Durham, the 34 food trucks on hand featured everything from pizza to pretzels, BBQ to baguettes, dumplings to doughnuts and many other cuisines in between.

Sharing was the order of the day with families and couples ordering some from one vendor and a little something else from another vendor. Plates of gourmet grilled cheese alongside crepes with noodle salad on the side were not uncommon.
If you missed today's fun, another Food Truck Rodeo is planned at Durham Central Park on Aug. 19 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
