Join us tonight for our first Tweet Up, Eat up at Ruckus Pizza in Cary.
Everyone that RSVPs for the event gets a free appetizer. (Just a tip: Their garlic knots are amazing!)
In addition to hanging out with the Out & About crew at Ruckus, you can also cheer on a few brave souls who will be taking on the Ruckus Pizza Challenge.
The rules are simple: Eat a 24-inch pizza with two meat toppings and two veggie toppings within an hour. Oh and you don't get bathroom breaks because they don't want you in the restroom vomiting to make room for more pizza. Gross, but had to be said.
The head chef gave us one piece of advice about taking on the challenge: Eat a lot to help stretch your stomach in the days before the challenge.
Of the more than 100 people who have tried, only a handful have completed the challenge. Those who complete the pizza get a $100 gift card, T-shirt and bragging rights. The losers walk away with a $10 gift card and a bill for the $23 pizza.
We hear Mike Maniscalco from 620 The Buzz and Joe Ovies from 99 The Fan might be taking on the challenge. (Unfortunately, HighschoolOT's Nick Stevens has bowed out of the competition.)
Look for our coverage of the action on Out & About Wednesday!
