Current and past Yep Roc artists will be on hand for three nights of music at Cat's Cradle in October to celebrate the artist-driven record labels' 15th anniversary.
The label announced the Oct. 11-13 event on Wednesday. The lineup includes Nick Lowe, Robyn Hitchcock, Fountains of Wayne, Eleni Mandell, John Doe and The Sadies. More bands will be announced as the shows get closer.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Yep Roc's website. Individual tickets to the shows will be available, but for the ultimate Yep Roc experience fans might want to try to score one of the 100 "Premiere Fan Bundle" packages available, which include tickets to:
- The kick-off party on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Local 506, featuring Los Straitjackets, The Fleshtones, Southern Culture on The Skids and Countdown Quartet.
- Yep Roc artists reception with appetizers and drinks at the West End Wine Bar on Friday, Oct. 12.
- Star-studded collaborative recording session with Yep Roc artists on Saturday, Oct. 13, hosted by Chris Stamey (Alex Chilton, The dB’s) and Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5).
And every month leading up to the show, Yep Roc will be making one previously unreleased track from its archive available for free.
Tom Hansen and Glenn Dicker founded Haw River-based Yep Roc in 1997. Since then, the label has released more than 300 albums, singles, videos and boxed sets.
