Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary is launching a new jazz series this spring. The Hob Nob Jazz Series will take place every Wednesday evening from April 25 to May 23. The shows, which will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will feature local and regional talent and are sure to provide a casual and relaxing evening.

"This series was a direct result of our relationship with venue fans who told us they wanted reasonably priced entertainment where they could gather with colleagues and friends," General Manager Becky Colwell said in a press release.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the amphitheatre box office or online. Children under 12 will receive free admission.

Outside food and beverage is allowed, but no alcohol is permitted.

The series schedule is as follows:

  • April 25 - Peter Lamb & The Wolves
  • May 2 - Stanley Baird Group
  • May 9 - Kathy Gelb and Gregg Gelb
  • May 16 - Al Strong Quartet
  • May 23 - Scott Sawyer and Ron Brendle
