Four days seems to be such a short amount of time to take in everything the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival has to offer. Actually, you can’t possibly take it all in, because the large number of films means that many screen simultaneously. This forces you to make some tough decisions. We now have a better idea of how tough those decisions will be with Full Frame’s release of their NEW DOCS lineup.
The NEW DOCS list includes 57 films, which brings the total number of films announced to 87 when you include the Tribute, Thematic  Center Frame and Invited programs! The complete film list with descriptions of each one is now posted on Full Frame’s web site. If you plan to attend the festival, I hope your rear is accustomed to sitting in small chairs for very long periods of time. I can tell you this from experience. I can also tell you that it’s totally worth it.

When attending any of the NEW DOCS films, don’t be satisfied with just passively watching and moving on to the next screening. Each of these films is eligible for the Full Frame Audience Award, chosen by…the audience! Yes, you get to vote for the ones you like the best.

The Full Frame Film Festival will take place in downtown Durham April 12-15. Tickets for films are available to passholders beginning March 23 and go on sale to the general public at the Full Frame web site on April 2.

The overall schedule including specific screening times and venues will be announced March 22.
