Spring is race season and we have a great list of organized races in the area that are benefiting some really good charities.

How are you doing on those New Year's resolutions to hit the gym and get in shape? Need some new motivation? Or, maybe you're doing great with your workouts and you want to show off the progress you've made!

Spring is race season and we have a great list of organized races in the area, benefiting some great charities: 

  • March 17 - 23rd Annual ZTA Franklin 5K: Benefits cancer research and awareness
  • March 17 - Kidney Kare 5k Run/Walk & Kids Kare 1/2 Mile Run: Proceeds benefit the UNC Kidney Center programs
  • March 31 - Heels for Healing 5K & Kid's Fun Run: Partners with BounceBack Kids to raise money for children with life-challenging medical conditions
  • March 31 - 5K4CFF: A run to cure Cystic Fibrosis
  • April 14 - The Power Up Road Race: 1 Mile/ 5K & 10K race to benefit the non-profit PowerUp Foundation
  • April 14 - The Shake A Leg for Charles 5K Fun Run/Walk: To raise money for a young man's prosthetic leg
  • April 21 - NC Victim Assistance Network 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run: For crime victims and survivors
  • April 21 - Broadway Our Way Festival: 5K, bike ride and street fair in Downtown Broadway, NC
  • April 28 - 4th Annual Run For Our Heroes 5k Run/Walk: Honors Raleigh's fallen officers and their families
  • May 5 - Bulldog Runraiser 5K: Benefiting the Holly Grove Middle School athletic programs
  • May 12 - The Sixth Sun 5K: Proceeds will provide assistance to community gardens
  • June 2 - 5K VisionWalk: Benefiting the Foundation Fighting Blindness
  • June 3 - Midtown Race Series: Captrust 5k, 10k, Half Marathon: Donate to one of many charities including the Make-A-Wish and the Raleigh Rescue Mission
  • June 9 - Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure: Raises funds and awareness for breast cancer
  • June 9 - The Ninja Challenge: A 5K Obstacle Course to benefit the Triangle Red Cross
