Spring is race season and we have a great list of organized races in the area, benefiting some great charities:

March 17 - 23rd Annual ZTA Franklin 5K: Benefits cancer research and awareness
March 17 - Kidney Kare 5k Run/Walk & Kids Kare 1/2 Mile Run: Proceeds benefit the UNC Kidney Center programs
March 31 - Heels for Healing 5K & Kid's Fun Run: Partners with BounceBack Kids to raise money for children with life-challenging medical conditions
March 31 - 5K4CFF: A run to cure Cystic Fibrosis
April 14 - The Power Up Road Race: 1 Mile/ 5K & 10K race to benefit the non-profit PowerUp Foundation
April 14 - The Shake A Leg for Charles 5K Fun Run/Walk: To raise money for a young man's prosthetic leg
April 21 - NC Victim Assistance Network 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run: For crime victims and survivors
April 21 - Broadway Our Way Festival: 5K, bike ride and street fair in Downtown Broadway, NC
April 28 - 4th Annual Run For Our Heroes 5k Run/Walk: Honors Raleigh's fallen officers and their families
May 5 - Bulldog Runraiser 5K: Benefiting the Holly Grove Middle School athletic programs
May 12 - The Sixth Sun 5K: Proceeds will provide assistance to community gardens
June 2 - 5K VisionWalk: Benefiting the Foundation Fighting Blindness
June 3 - Midtown Race Series: Captrust 5k, 10k, Half Marathon: Donate to one of many charities including the Make-A-Wish and the Raleigh Rescue Mission
June 9 - Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure: Raises funds and awareness for breast cancer
June 9 - The Ninja Challenge: A 5K Obstacle Course to benefit the Triangle Red Cross
