Mystery Brewing in Hillsborough is holding a week of events to coincide with its grand opening, and it all kicks off tonight with pints, food, live music and hourly tours. 

The grand opening party is from 7-10 p.m. at the brewery located at 437 Dimmocks Mill Road, Suite #41. 

Why mystery?

Well, according to the company website, they are referencing mystery's original definition of "art and craft of a trade." Brewers were among the first organized trade groups.

As far as their beers, check out their current list, which includes the very interesting Chocolate Breakfast Stout. 

Here is a rundown of their opening week activities: 

Thursday, March 1 
Tap Takeover & Cask at The Depot, 6-10:30 p.m. 
Taste a cask of Six Impossible Things Chocolate Breakfast Stout alongside the beer on tap during a full Mystery tap takeover at The Depot at Hillsborough Station. There will also be a question and answer session with Mystery’s brewmaster Erik Lars Myers and the music of Dawn Michelle Williams.

Friday, March 2
Mystery Movie Night, doors open at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at 8 p.m. 
Beer, food, and a showing of "The Maltese Falcon."

Saturday, March 3
Marian Call Concert, doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. 
Alaskan singer-songwriter Marian Call plays a funky acoustic all-ages show at Mystery Brewing Company. This concert is free, with a $5-10 recommended donation (pay-as-you-can).

Sunday, March 4
Beer Brunch, all day
Wooden Nickel Pub will have a special menu paired with Mystery Brewing Company beers.
