Dean Ogan's Rocky Top Hospitality to unveil Rockwell's American Grill tomorrow in Cary

“Comfort foods with a twist” are on the menu to be unveiled at Rocky Top Hospitality’s latest locally-owned addition tomorrow. Dean Ogan, owner of Rocky Top Hospitality, says that Rockwell’s American Grill “combines the concept of a modern American grill with the classics of old school diners and delis” and here’s the best part (in my humble opinion): breakfast is served all day. It bears repeating – breakfast served all day!
Like Rocky Top Hospitality’s other local restaurants (Tribeca Tavern, Draft, Mash House, Twisted Fork), Rockwell’s will focus on fresh ingredients and the bar will include reasonably priced craft beers, wines and modern takes on classic American cocktails. In addition to what Ogan is describing as a reasonably-priced menu (decide for yourself: http://www.rockwellsamericangrill.com/menu/) the new concept is tempting patrons with a “huge outdoor patio [that] seats more than 100 guests”. I’m willing to bet now that come April, those seats will be in high demand every night of the week.
Here’s a cool feature of Rockwell’s that we haven’t seen much of here in the Triangle: family-style dining. With a minimum of four diners, you can select two entrees, three sides, and choice of salad from the “Comfy Family Style” menu at $18 per person. Chances you’ll go home hungry? Slim to none.
By the way, there are five different grilled cheese sandwiches on the menu. FIVE! After I check out the waffles and grits offered on the breakfast all day menu, I’ll be making my way through each of the grilled cheese options - pairing with a salad, of course. (It’s all about balance, right?)
