Van Halen to play Greensboro

Van Halen will play the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday, April 21, concert promoter Live Nation announced Friday.

The band, which is back with its original lead singer David Lee Roth, is going on tour to support its new album, A Different Kind Of Truth, out on Feb. 7.

Kool & The Gang are performing with Van Halen for select dates. No word if they are going to be at the Greensboro show. 

Tickets for the Greensboro date go on sale Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com, the Greensboro Coliseum box office, Ticketmaster or you can charge by phone at 800-745-3000.

    Saw VH in 78 at Carter Finley. Great show. Remember the "Red Cups" for those that were there? I predict they will self destruct again before this show date. Two totally unstable people trying to keep it together for 3 months, no way.

    The best Van Halen show ever was the David Lee Roth/Sammy Hagar (& original bassist) show at Walnut Creek- all the hits by both lead singers with none of those bickering Van Halen brothers to deal with!! LOL
